Our Staff:
OFFICE MANAGER
SANDRA HETRICK grew up on farmsteads in Pratt County.
She attended Golden valley rural school and graduated from Pratt High School in 1956.
She is a graduate of the Kansas State Teacher’s College. (Now called Emporia State.)
For 38 years she was a school library/media specialist.
She retired and returned to Pratt, to be close to her mother and sister in 2001.
In 2005, she became the Office Manager at the Pratt County Historical Museum.
CURATOR
MARSHA BROWN was born in Pratt in 1956.
She started kindergarten at Southwest Elementary, when the school opened for the first time. She continued there through the 6th grade. She attended Liberty Jr. High and Pratt High School, graduating in 1975.
Before coming to the museum, she had owned Brick Street Antique Mall for almost ten years.
Prior to that, she had various jobs including bookkeeping, insurance clerk for a physician, and a child care provider.
Marsha was on the Board of Directors of the museum for 2005 and 2006, giving up her chair for the last year of her term to become the first-ever paid curator at the museum.
She has a love of Pratt and Pratt County history, and enjoys helping people research their family histories.
